How does it work?

In 20 lessons combining short, video-based lectures and practice prompts we’ll dive into the history, theory, and practice of the Pilates method. You can absorb the lesson content at your own time and pace. 

We pair each lesson with a practice prompt and a workbook to help you bring the ideas presented in the workshop to life. Your practice is completely self-guided, whether at home or in a studio, by yourself or with a group, with or without a teacher.

What will I need to participate in the workshop?

  • an internet-ready device to stream and view lesson content
  • a regular and ongoing Pilates practice: this can be at home or in a studio, by yourself or in a group, with or without a teacher

All materials, including access to our comprehensive exercise video catalog, will be provided.

I am a Pilates Teacher. Does this workshop count as continuing education?

You bet! The Decoding Pilates Workshop is approved for 16 continuing education credits with the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP), which become available upon completing a quiz associated with the workshop content. The quiz must be completed within 3 months of enrolling in the workshop and your certificate will be sent straight to your inbox! 

Meet your teacher

Benjamin Degenhardt is the creator of 360° Pilates and the Decoding Pilates Workshop. He has been a Pilates student since 1998, a teacher since 2004, and a teacher of teachers since 2011. 

His interpretation of Pilates synthesizes classical and contemporary techniques with historical research on the original method. Benjamin presents at conferences and training facilities around the world and has been featured on Pilates Anytime, in Pilates Style Magazine, and in the documentary “Tribute to Joseph Pilates”. Benjamin is also the founder of March MATness, an annual social media campaign celebrating the traditional Pilates Mat work.
