Hypothesis: everything is Horseback.
Fact check: Spine Stretch? Horseback. Push Through? Horseback. Spread Eagle? Horseback. Rowing? Horseback. Arm Chair? Horseback. YUP. Everything is Horseback!
While it is often considered an “advanced exercise” for its complexity, Horseback represents a fundamental skill in Pilates training: a voluntary, coordinated contraction of the muscles of the trunk and limbs to activate the center, stretch the back, and—in the case of Horseback—displacing our center of gravity. Understanding Horseback means unlocking a deeper understanding of the Pilates method at large.
Giddy up!
