Heels together, toes apart

Pilates: keeping heels together since 1926.

Here are 3 things you should know about that:

  1. The term “Pilates stance” didn’t originate from J.H. Pilates.
  2. Heels together closes kinetic chains, maintains normal hip rotation, and activates effort in the lower body (military stance).
  3. In the original work, the lower body worked in parallel rotation just as often.
